After two years, Mirage Gstaad in Gruben will be dismantled this week. If a new location can be found, there will be an extension for a maximum of two more years.
As of this week, Covid-19 home testing kits can be obtained free of charge in pharmacies, five tests per person and month. The test offensive aims to interrupt the chain of infection as far as possible and thus reduce the R-value.
The drive-in testing facility in Schönried will open for the last time on Saturday, 3 April. After that, people will have to go to the hospital in Zweisimmen or to the drive-in testing facility in Thun for PCR tests.
The Institut Le Rosey is considering constructing a school building, the Campus Village, at the former tank farm behind the railway station. This is being done in close consultation with the municipality. For 15 years, Le Rosey has been trying to renew and enlarge the winter campus in Gstaad. Now a feasible solution seems to be in sight.
Several thousand cubic metres of snow are blocking the road to Arnensee. The cause were the huge avalanches at the beginning of February. Since further snowfalls of this magnitude are not expected, the first clearing operations have already taken place.
