Festival vibes return to the slopes of Saanenmöser: on 27 and 28 March, the Slopesound Festival enters its third edition — this year with new locations and a line-up that spans genres and generations.
Set against the late-season snow of Saanenmöser, Slopesound once again brings live music directly onto the mountain. The 2026 edition introduces a refreshed layout alongside a programme that moves comfortably between Swiss acts and international influences.
Leading the line-up are several familiar names on the Swiss music scene. Bern-based trend trapper Jule X arrives with his crew Vokuhila Mafia, known for high-energy live performances. Swiss reggae mainstay Phenomden joins forces with his live band The Scrucialists, bringing groove-driven reggae and soul to the slopes, while Skarra Mucci & Manudigital promise a dense mix of reggae, dancehall, dub and bass-heavy soundsystem culture.
From Austria, Tiavo add a different tone altogether, blending Neue Deutsche Welle, punk and electronic elements into a deliberately chaotic live show. One of the more atmospheric moments of the weekend is reserved for Saturday evening: Open Season will play an exclusive sunset concert in the former gondola hall at Saanersloch — a setting that pairs their warm rocksteady, reggae and pop sound with the shifting light of the mountains.
Logistically, the festival becomes easier to access this year. The main stage moves to a new location directly at the Saanersloch valley station, just a short walk from Saanenmöser train station, replacing the previous set-up at the WhyNot Bar. The change simplifies arrival by both train and car and brings the central hub closer together.
At the same time, several established venues remain part of the programme. Igludorf Gstaad, the Pasatiempo Snow Bar, Restaurant Lochstafel and the WhyKnot Bar continue to host concerts and DJ sets, spreading the festival atmosphere across the ski area.
As the winter season draws to a close, Slopesound once again offers a different kind of finale — one that trades the last runs of the day for live music, shared moments and a mountain backdrop that does most of the rest.
