MAZE / ART GSTAAD 2026
A curated constellation of art, design and exceptional objects
For its third edition, MAZE / Art Gstaad returns to the Festival Tent with a deliberately concentrated take on the art-fair format. Rather than scale, the emphasis is on selection: a tightly edited group of international galleries presenting modern and contemporary art alongside design, photography, rare books, jewellery and exceptional objects.
This focused approach has become MAZE’s signature. The fair privileges dialogue between disciplines, periods and materials and invites visitors to move through the presentation as a single, coherent parcours. It is a format that resonates with collectors, institutions and art lovers who value context as much as connoisseurship.
The gallery roster reflects the breadth of this ambition. Established names from the international art scene include Landau Fine Art, De Jonckheere, Hélène Bailly – Marcilhac, Pace Gallery, Thaddaeus Ropac, Capitain Petzel, Mendes Wood DM, Semiose, Jousse Entreprise and Dr Jörn Günther Rare Books, complemented by contemporary jewellery from Nikos Koulis. Together, they map a wide spectrum of practices without losing curatorial clarity.
Museum-quality works form a central pillar of the 2026 edition. Visitors will encounter emblematic works by Roy Lichtenstein, Alberto Giacometti, and Fernand Léger, alongside major works by Pieter Brueghel the Younger and Lucio Fontana. The contemporary programme brings further contrasts, with works by Eric Fischl, Loie Hollowell and Monica Bonvicini.
Design is represented by important 20th-century pieces, notably by Charlotte Perriand, while exceptionally rare medieval illuminated manuscripts, drawn from specialised rare-book collections, add a historical counterpoint rarely seen in a fair setting.
The result is a visit that encourages slow looking. Works, disciplines, and centuries are placed in conversation, allowing unexpected connections to emerge within a compact, carefully considered framework.
