As a tourist destination, Gstaad has ended the summer with a healthy balance sheet. The number of overnight stays increased by 9.5 per cent and, over the summer, trips on the Rinderberg, Horneggli, Wispile and Videmanette cable cars increased by 22 per cent.

Mountain bikes won’t be included in the sectoral plan until two years from now at the earliest

Car driver has died after an accident
A car driver died on 24 September in Saanen after an accident where he was the only party involved and despite immediate rescue attempts. Initial findings suggest that the accident may have been the result of a medical problem.
