Gstaad: Skiers will find that it’s well worth booking early using the new system

  08.10.2019 Local News

The destination has new offers for both locals and visitors for the winter season 2019/20. Seasonal subscriptions for Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG (BDG) will be available at preferential rates until mid-December. From now on, it’s worthwhile booking early for day or multi-day tickets – these can be purchased in advance using the new pricing system, with attractive prices on offer, depending on the time of the booking and the actual visit.

Seasonal subscriptions for the BDG can be purchased at a preferential price until mid-December. The Top4-Abo, which is valid for adults visiting the Adelboden-Lenk, the Jungfrau, Meiringen-Hasliberg and Gstaad ski regions starts at CHF 666, while the subscription rate for locals starts from CHF 550.

Those who book early will benefit from cheaper day and multi-day passes
"With the new pricing system, it’s well worthwhile buying passes early if people only want to ski on certain individual days," says Matthias In-Albon, managing director of the BDG. "If you book early, you can get a cheaper deal without having to queue at the ticket office because the tickets can be bought online." The ski pass prices depend on the time people book, as well as their intended visiting time. So, winter sports enthusiasts can book, for example, outside of the high season or on certain weekdays at particularly good rates. "From now on, a day ticket will cost up to 25 percent less or a maximum of 14 percent more than the previous fixed price of CHF 65”, explains In-Albon. So, an adult will pay between CHF 49 and 74 for a day’s skiing. Families and seniors will continue to benefit from reductions too. Loyal customers will also receive money off as part of the loyalty programme when they book their tickets online. Destination Gstaad will introduce this moderate, dynamic price system at the start of the winter 2019/20 season in collaboration with Ticketcorner.

Construction site open day
In the end, it doesn’t matter when ski enthusiasts buy their tickets for Gstaad: Everyone can enjoy the new Eggli-Bahn this winter season. The modern, panoramic gondolas designed by Porsche are very chic and offer more space and comfort. In-Albon is pleased to give the public a first glimpse of what to expect next season at the "Construction Site Open Day" on 12 October:
