Charge your E-Bike for free
Anyone travelling by e-bike can charge their battery free of charge at various charging stations in the region. Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus (GST) has initiated the programme as a part of their sustainable destination e-bike concept.
Bottleneck at Würstenkreisel
Due to major rerouting of the sewer lines down by the roundabout known as Würstenkreisel, which connects four streets leading into and through Gstaad, traffic from all directions has to cope with considerable waiting times.
Nightly road closure
From the 13 June to 5 July 2022, traffic will be restricted to one lane and regulated manually as the surface of the Gstaad-Lauenen cantonal road is being renewed on the stretch from Trom Säge to Engedorf area. The road will be completely closed to all traffic from:
GLACIER 3000 buys a hotel
The operator of the Glacier 3000 ski area has bought the Eurotel Victoria in Les Diablerets. More than CHF 9m will be invested to renovate the establishment and the 4-star hotel will be open all year round.
Milestone innovation prize

Mario Frautschi from Turbach is a multi-talented craftsman with a passion for his art – carving wood by hand in the traditional manner to create magnificent sculptures. He also carves intricate designs in leather and has been known to sculpt igloos in the winter too.
Come up ...... the cable cars are running again
Summer was officially kicked off on Saturday 18 June as the cable cars started operation again. It was also the hottest day in June, so even a better reason to come up to cool down.

Le Grand Bellevue is Hotel of the Year
Every year, the hotel scene eagerly awaits the opinion of Karl Wild’s jury experts. Ten hotels in the Destination Gstaad in three categories made it into the wreaths. Le Grand Bellevue in Gstaad even won Hotel of the Year.
