Due to major rerouting of the sewer lines down by the roundabout known as Würstenkreisel, which connects four streets leading into and through Gstaad, traffic from all directions has to cope with considerable waiting times. The first construction stage will last until the end of June, the second construction stage will begin after the main season on 1 September.

In the meantime, the roads around Würstenkreisel can be used without restrictions. The project is expected to be completed on 25 September 2022.

The municipality of Saanen have hired a traffic service during the day to regulate the situation and ensure the smoothest possible flow of traffic. However, waiting times are unavoidable and unfortunately cannot be prevented, especially during rush hours, such as at midday or in the evening. At night, traffic lights are are in place since there is a much smaller volume of traffic.
