Plaine morte lake empty
According to an announcement on the Lenk municipality website, the water level of the glacial lake on the Plaine Morte has dropped through the sub-glacial cave network. The outflow from the glacier tongue went via Trübbach and Simme without reaching alarming levels.
Unexploded ordnance in the mountains
When hiking in the mountains, it is possible to come across unexploded ordnance, ammunition that has not exploded or has not exploded completely, for example because it landed in water, snow or soft ground, writes the NBC-KA-MIR Centre of Competence at the NBC Centre in Spiez.
