The annual Gstaad Trade Fair  is back at the Sportzentrum this weekend, bringing together 61 exhibitors for four days of local business, innovation and community spirit. And if you pay a visit to the Müller Medien Connect Bar, you could walk away with a rather nice prize.

The 44th Gstaader Messe opened on Thursday, 22 October, turning the Sportzentrum into a showcase for the businesses, craftspeople and organisations that help keep the Saanenland running.

With 61 exhibitors, including 14 newcomers, there is plenty to discover. From traditional craftsmanship and construction to tourism, technology, healthcare and local services, the fair offers an opportunity to meet the people behind the businesses and find out what they do – and perhaps discover a few you didn't know existed.

Of course, the Gstaader Messe is also a social occasion. A chance to catch up with familiar faces, exchange a few words over a drink and enjoy the convivial atmosphere that makes this biennial gathering a fixture on the local calendar.

Drop by the Müller Medien Connect Bar – and try your luck

Our publishing house, Müller Medien, is also taking part, and the team has prepared a competition with some excellent prizes.

Simply stop by the Connect Bar at the Müller Medien stand, fill in a short multiple-choice questionnaire about the publishing house's products and drop your entry into the competition box. The questions are deliberately straightforward, so you won't need to spend your visit hunting for answers.

Four lucky participants will be drawn after the fair:

• 1st prize: A Magic Pass voucher worth CHF 600

• 2nd prize: A photograph or photo shoot, with the image printed on wood, worth CHF 400

• 3rd prize: A one-year subscription to Anzeiger von Saanen, worth CHF 145

• Consolation prize: A book of your choice from Müller Medien's publishing collection

The winners will be contacted directly and their names and places of residence published in Anzeiger von Saanen on Tuesday, 27 October.

A weekend worth exploring

Beyond the exhibition stands, visitors can enjoy regional food and refreshments, while families will find activities for younger guests throughout the weekend.

There is also still time to vote for the Goldener Kranich, the Saanenland's innovation award, with public voting open until Saturday, 24 October. The winning project will be announced at the fair on Sunday.

Whether you're looking for business contacts, curious about what's happening in the region or simply fancy a sociable outing, the Gstaader Messe is well worth a visit.
