Martin Bieri’s latest Venture

Michelin-starred chef Martin Bieri has joined The Mansard, the new boutique hotel set to open on Gstaad’s promenade in spring 2024. Bieri, is supported initially by co-investor Michel Wichman, and will oversee the hotel’s overall management in a new role as hotelier. Bieri expresses great anticipation and honour for this unique opportunity.

Last season Chlösterli and a new concept for Sunne Stübli

The Michelin-starred chef has leased the Chlösterli in Grund since last winter, and since this summer, he has also been the host at the Sunne Stübli restaurant in Turbach. When asked, Bieri stated that he would be welcoming guests to the Chlösterli for one last season. With regards to the Sunne Stübli restaurant, he is looking for solutions together with the Future Turbach Association. “Many people have gone to great lengths to ensure the continued existence of this restaurant. It is therefore important to me to work with the board to develop a good concept to ensure that this remains the case,” explains Bieri.

MAISON HORNBERG

Formerly known as Hotel Hornberg in Saanenmöser since 1936, has unveiled a new brand after a comprehensive rebranding led by Brigitte and Christian Hoefliger-von Siebenthal, the third-generation owners. The rebranding process aimed to evolve the hotel while preserving its core values and DNA. The name change to MAISON signifies the hotel’s commitment to conveying its character and hospitality.

The Hoefligers, reflecting on their ancestors’ contributions, emphasised the importance of maintaining the vision of founders Helene and Werner von Siebenthal-Hauswirth, and aimed to embody a contemporary expression of heritage, emphasising cosiness and focusing on guest needs.
