Michel Dalberto led the talents through the festival

14.02.2024 Arts & Culture, Events, Concerts, Pays-d'Enhaut, Sommets Musicaux

UPDATE!
The great pianist Stephen Hough was due to open this year's Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad festival. Due to illness, he was unable to take part in the festival and Michel Dalberto took his place as pianist instead. Dalberto also took on the role of mentor for the seven brilliant young pianists who will premiere the contemporary work "Night and Day", which Karol Beffa composed especially for the festival.

Michel Dalberto has worked with renowned orchestras and artists. He himself learnt to play the piano at the age of three. Dalberto was a professor at the Paris Conservatoire, a position he left in 2022. Since 2023, he has been teaching at the new Yehudi Menuhin School, which opened in Qingdao (China) in September 2022. The award-winning pianist is involved both as an artist and as a mentor for the young piano artists.
