AS SEEN THROUGH FRACHESCA'S EYES

Tucked into the heart of Rougemont, a short drive from Gstaad, Atelier Beaux Arts offers visitors something increasingly rare: the opportunity to discover an artist's work in the very landscape that inspires it.

For the past five years, painter Franchesca Beau has welcomed guests into her light-filled gallery, where the view towards the Videmanette is as much a part of the experience as the paintings themselves. From changing alpine skies and wildflowers to deer, forests and mountain vistas, the surrounding region provides an endless source of inspiration for her colourful and expressive work.

Working primarily in oils and watercolour, Franchesca is drawn to the atmosphere of a place rather than its exact representation. Her paintings capture fleeting moments of light, seasonal colours and the ever-changing character of the Alps, translating familiar scenes into vibrant and personal interpretations.

Unlike a traditional gallery, Atelier Beaux Arts remains closely connected to the artist herself. Many visitors are surprised to discover that the space is not only an exhibition venue, but also an active studio, where ideas begin, paintings evolve, and new projects take shape.

Together with her husband, Christoph, who warmly welcomes visitors year-round, Franchesca has created a gallery that feels approachable and personal. Guests are encouraged to take their time, ask questions and learn more about the stories behind the paintings.

Whether you are an art collector, a local resident or simply curious to see the Saanenland through a different lens, Atelier Beaux Arts offers a unique opportunity to experience the region through the eyes of one of its resident artists.
