Telmont Champagne stands as a remarkable symbol of craftsmanship, heritage, and dedication to producing some of the finest sparkling wines in the world. Known for its premium quality and its connection to the rich history of the Champagne region, Telmont offers a unique experience to wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. The champagne’s deep roots in tradition, coupled with innovative approaches to viticulture and winemaking, have allowed Telmont to carve out a distinct place in the highly competitive world of Champagne.
At the heart of Telmont’s success is its commitment to quality. Each bottle is a product of meticulous care, from the cultivation of the vineyards to the fermentation process. Telmont’s vineyards are located in the renowned Champagne region, known for its chalky soils, which create ideal conditions for growing the three main grape varieties used in Champagne production: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. These grapes are harvested with precision, ensuring that only the best fruit makes its way into the final product. The estate’s attention to detail in both viticulture and winemaking results in a Champagne that is balanced, elegant, and complex – a perfect reflection of the terroir.
Acquired by the Rémy Cointreau Group, Telmont was founded in 1912 by Henri Lhôpital. His direct descendant, Bertrand Lhôpital, fourth generation of the founding family, an agricultural engineer, now heads Viticulture and is Cellar Master. Under his watchful eye, the vineyards are farmed with eco-friendly practices, and the production process has been optimised to minimise waste and reduce the carbon footprint. This focus on sustainability is an important aspect of the brand’s identity, ensuring that Telmont Champagne is not only a product of luxury but also a product of conscience.
Never has the adage, drink champagne for no reason, been truer.
