Starting Saturday, 14 June, the Sanetsch cable car in Gsteig reopened for the summer season. It runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors can look forward to vibrant alpine flowers, stunning panoramic views, and hearty Valaisan specialities served at the Restaurant du Barrage.

As soon as the snow has melted, the Sanetsch region becomes a paradise for climbers and hikers alike. With 72 climbing routes across a range of difficulty levels and numerous hiking trails, the area is a great starting point for adventures, whether it’s a scenic walk to the source of the Saane or a challenging multi-hour tour to the Glacier des Diablerets.

For cyclists, the downhill ride into the vineyards of the Valais – more than 1700 metres in altitude below – promises both thrill and breathtaking views. Bicycles can be conveniently transported up the mountain by cable car.
