ITALIAN CRAFT, CURATED
23.01.2026 LifestyleFor a brief moment in February, the Promenade takes on an unmistakably Italian accent. From 8 to 25 February, a refined pop-up brings together three expressions of Made in Italy excellence – leather craftsmanship, contemporary jewellery, and 20th-century fine art – united by a shared language of design, restraint, and savoir-faire. Rather than a traditional retail experience, this is a slow-shopping destination: considered, tactile and quietly luxurious. Think travel pieces you’ll keep for life, jewellery defined by form rather than flash, and art that rewards a second look.
AVITEUR approaches travel from a design perspective rather than a heritage one. Patricia Gucci’s collection is intentionally free of logos, favouring proportion, material and craft over overt branding. Handcrafted in Italy by specialist artisans, each piece reflects a modern understanding of luxury – discreet, functional and enduring.
Woven leather details nod to 1960s rattan luggage, while translucent hardware and refined colour palettes keep the look contemporary. On display is a tightly edited selection of carry-ons, weekender bags, garment bags, totes, handbags and even pet carriers, practical pieces elevated through exceptional execution.

Giorgio Bulgari brings a contemporary Italian design sensibility to the world of precious jewellery. Design is the starting point, shaping classic forms through proportion, balance and surface rather than overt decoration. A subtle reference to early 20th-century Italian modernism lends structure, without sacrificing warmth or ornament. The GIORGIO B style is confident and expressive: sculptural yet sensual, familiar yet new. Opulence comes not from diamond-heavy surfaces, but from volume, texture and colour, gold paired with materials such as titanium, bronze or ceramic to create depth and tactility. Descending from a storied Italian family long associated with jewellery and design, Bulgari treats heritage as a foundation rather than a statement. Each piece is handcrafted in Italy or Switzerland, quietly contemporary in spirit.

Completing the trio is Fabio Bechelli’s curated presentation of Italian fine art from the 20th century. Returning to Gstaad with his Italiamania concept, Bechelli brings together selected works connected to movements such as Arte Povera, alongside concept-driven pieces exploring material, gesture and form.
Presented in a gallery-style setting, the selection invites conversation between collectors, institutions and curious newcomers, an art experience that feels both rigorous and accessible.
