One of the most beloved summer traditions in Saanen returns on 9 August: the annual Brocante market. Now entering its 21st edition, this vibrant gathering draws exhibitors and visitors from near and far for a day of treasure hunting, culinary delights, and village charm.

I personally always look forward to this day, where locals and guests mingle in the heart of Saanen, sharing stories, searching for rare finds, and enjoying the warm, welcoming atmosphere. From antique curiosities and vintage gems to handmade crafts and charity stalls supporting local causes, the market offers something for every taste.

With live music echoing through the streets and delicious food from ocal vendors the Brocante has become so much more than a market – it’s a celebration of the Saanenland community.

As you get ready for this year’s Brocante, consider making a meaningful contribution: the local Soroptimist group will once again host their stand, selling donated fashion accessories in support of the President’s charitable project. It’s a great way to give new life to your gently used bags, scarves, belts, or jewellery – while supporting a good cause.
