PEEKABOO - A whisper in the snow

Discover Peekaboo by Tatiana Ojjeh

One month ago, the lights of Peekaboo at Galerie im Stöckli and the vitrine opposite were quietly switched on. A gentle glow emerged through glass, revealing Carrara marble works by Tatiana Ojjeh resting in golden straw. Softened by texture and light, the vitrines became intimate moments of pause along the beloved walking path above Gstaad.

Curated by Jasmine Cortes, the exhibition was designed to be experienced entirely from the exterior, unfolding with restraint and intention. With minimal signage and a discreet window marking, passersby were invited to stop, peer in, and linger. By day, the works appeared almost ephemeral; by night, their glow gathered attention. What emerged was exactly as intended: a sense of calm, a gentleness, and a shared stillness, a subtle recalibration.

At its core, Peekaboo is a meditation on place and presence, on how spaces are held and how people move through them. In this spirit, sincere thanks are extended to Driven | Forbes Global Properties, whose support made the exhibition possible. Based in Dubai, a city shaped by vision, architecture, and thoughtful place-making, Driven shares a commitment to creating environments that elevate how people live and connect. Their involvement bridges alpine stillness with urban dynamism, united by a belief in spaces built with care and intention.

The exhibition was brought to life through the generosity of the local community, most notably the Frautschi sisters, owners of Galerie im Stöckli, who warmly welcomed and hosted the installation. Heartfelt thanks are also extended to Mathias von Siebenthal for the generous provision of straw and to Rötlisberger for their technical lighting expertise. Together, their enthusiasm and support carried each phase forward with grace and care.

A small red vintage post box – the Peekaboo Post – sourced from a local brocante, invited visitors to leave handwritten wishes. With pen and notepad suspended nearby, the box quickly filled, then filled again, becoming a quiet archive of shared reflection. These notes will soon be shared via Instagram @peekaboogstaad

Peekaboo at Galerie im Stöckli stands as a reminder that art does not need to be loud to gather people together. Sometimes, all it takes is light, stillness, and a window to look through.

The exhibition is presented in partnership with Driven | Forbes Global Properties, Dubai’s leading brokerage and the exclusive UAE member of the Forbes Global Properties network. With a presence across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Driven shares the exhibition’s devotion to places of resonance – spaces that hold meaning, memory, and a sense of belonging. Their support reflects a mutual belief that true luxury lies not in excess, but in the thoughtful curation of what endures.
