Hang out at the Saloon

  17.07.2022 Local News

In winter, the Saagi-Stübli attracts fondue and raclette lovers, and now the Gstaaderhof has created a unique space for the summer months. Yipee!
In the basement of the Hotel Gstaaderhof, the saloon doors have been open since mid-June. The SALOON is a cosy Western-style bar, and it offers everything that should be in a western bar; juicy ribs, burgers, and savoury nachos to be chased down with a cool drink.

No saloon without a bar
“The SALOON is intended to be a new addition to the nightlife in Saaneland,” says Assistant Director Chantal Naef. When furnishing the saloon, as opposed to the Saagi-Stübli, attention was paid to fewer tables providing a more relaxed atmosphere. “And, of course, a saloon needs a bar counter,” the assistant manager continues, pointing to a wooden counter that offers plenty of space for the guests and their drinks in Western style, whether the glasses glide across the counter like a movie has not yet been tested.

A familiar face behind the counter
Mr Vilchez and Lucia are running the bar. While the young lady was hired especially for this job during the summer season, Mr Vilchez has been part of the Gstaaderhof team for some time. And he knows the premises very well because he manages the Saagi-Stübli during the winter. The SALOON is for everybody – locals as well as tourists. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 5PM until 00.30 AM. “We are also planning staff parties every Sunday, just like we used to at the Chesery in the past, says Chantal Naef.

So, saddle up and swing by. See ya.
