At 3.25 p.m., the Cantonal Police Operations Centre and the Cantonal Rescue Organisation 144 were informed of the crash of a glider against a rock face above Visse in the Sanetsch region. The pilot, who was alone on board, could only be recovered dead by the rescue services. The victim is a 57-year-old resident of the canton of Vaud. The cause of the plane crash is being investigated by the Swiss Transport Safety Investigation Board (SUST) in collaboration with the Valais Cantonal Police.
