Autohaus von Känel is located in Frutigen. The family business is run by the third generation, and the fourth is already in the starting blocks with Silvan and Kevin von Känel. The company has grown naturally in recent years, and the enthusiasm for cars, the family atmosphere and personal customer loyalty are the nuts and bolts of their business philosophy.

Pick-up and delivery service
The heart of the Autohaus beats solely for cars – and their customers. “We are car enthusiasts – from the bonnet to the rear,” says patron Erich von Känel. With this enthusiasm, the employees have been advising and looking after customers for 60 years. Over the past 15 years, Autohaus von Känel AG and Rütti Garage in Gstaad have cultivated an intensive collaboration. A close bond has developed between the business partners and customers. “We still want to inspire customers from the Saanenland,” emphasises Erich von Känel.

Hence, they set up a pick-up and drop-off service for VW and Audi customers after the VW dealer in Gstaad closed. “It is a great pleasure and honour for us to continue looking after loyal customers from Gstaad,” says Erich von Känel enthusiastically. The employees pick up the cars and provide a replacement at two selected locations: the Sportzentrum Gstaad and the Romantik Hotel Hornberg, Saanenmöser.

All-round service
The 64 employees at Autohaus von Känel AG take care of everything that has to do with cars. The workshop specialises in repairs, service and maintenance. In the bodywork and paint section, body repair and paintwork are done.

An expert sales department complements the servicing and repairs sections. Used and new cars are available for all needs and budgets, and more than 100 vehicles are on display. The advisors have a fascination and expert knowledge of all the brands available in the multi-brand dealership.

Long-range plans
With the motto, “The future is now”, Silvan and Kevin von Känel are planning to expand the garage. The family business was able to purchase an adjacent hotel plot, on which they are planning a second-hand car centre. Second-hand vehicles will be on display on the two basement floors. Light-flooded showrooms on the upper floors will display electric cars. “We see a great future in the second-hand market for electric cars,” says Silvan von Känel.
