Rosie Quadranti turned 90 this year and fulfilled a long-held wish this June with a tandem paragliding flight. After having spent her holidays in Schönried for over 30 years, she decided to explore the surrounding mountains, all of which she knows well enough by foot, from above.

The adventure started from the Wispile. When asked whether she wasn’t scared of the tandem flight she simply laughed and said “No!”. However, when she had to run down the slope in order to take off, she had a slightly queasy feeling. “But the flight was beautiful!” she asserted.

Seeing the mountains and even a buzzard from above was absolutely fantastic and the pilot did a wonderful job, said the enthusiastic paragliding passenger, adding: “I would do it again in a heartbeat!”
