More cable cars in full operation as of 19 June

  15.06.2021 Sports & Leisure

The Wispile cable car has been in operation since mid-May. With Rinderberg and Horneggli, two more lifts are starting into the summer season. Even with a few patches of snow left, various activities are  possible on our mountains.

The highlight of this year's summer is the Rinderberg-Horneggli hike. After the strenuous metres in altitude have been easily covered with the cable car, hikers follow along the ridge towards Horneggli. Along the path, the mountain spring shows itself in its full, colourful splendour. Along the way, numerous places invite hikers to rest – whether on the terraces of the mountain restaurants that line the path, for a wakeboard session on the Hornberg or at one of the new barbecue and enjoyment spots. Of course, the opposite direction with a start on the Horneggli is also recommended. This is especially for families, as the playground at the Rinderberg mountain station awaits for the crowning finale and may help motivate the kids. The scooter ride down into the valley is another well-deserved extra.

In Gsteig, the Sanetsch cable car also starts the summer season on 19 June. The cable car to the lofty heights of the Glacier 3000 is already in full operation, and the Wasserngrat welcomes guests from Thursday to Sunday between 1 July and 5 September. The La Videmanette gondola opens on 10 July and ends the season on 22 August.

The new Alpine Herbs Trail by Swiss Alpine Herbs has been completed just in time for the start of the season. A small oasis for all the senses is being created on the Rinderberg Swiss Alpine Lodge terrace. With a little more time for the aromatic herbs to grow, the path will be in full splendour.
