Mon, 22. Feb. 2021

The drive-in testing facility in Schönried has been open since 24 December 2020.

The drive-in testing facility in Schönried has been open since 24 December 2020. As Spital STS AG writes, the operation is running smoothly and, due to the increase in testing capacities in the Simmental-Saanenland region, has led to a noticeable relief of the emergency ward at Zweisimmen Hospital.

By the end of January, over 1500 PCR tests had been carried out. After consultation with the RFO Saanen, Spital STS AG has now decided to extend the operation of the testing facility until Easter Monday (TBC) because the situation remains critical.

The drive-in testing facility is located in the car park at the former Rellerli valley station on Hubelstrasse in Schönried.

Online registration mandatory
Since Monday, 1 February the opening hours are as follows: People can be tested at the drive-in testing facility in Schönried from 9am to 3pm on weekdays and from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays. The testing facility is closed on Sundays.

It is compulsory to fill in the online registration form (see link below) and to make an appointment in advance. People without a valid confirmation will be turned away. In addition to the confirmation, people must bring an official form of identification.

Corona tests are still carried out at the hospital in Zweisimmen but for people who feel ill and who also need a consultation with a doctor. Here too, it is mandatory to make an appointment in advance.
