What began on 1 September last year with a reach for the stars has come to an abrupt end: Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG (BDG) is ending its collaboration with head gastronomer and star-decorated chef Marcus G Lindner. Despite his credentials and undoubted quality as a chef, the new assignment turned out to be a mismatch.

In his position, Lindner was responsible for the managemetn of all restaurants operated by BDG – La Videmanette, Eggli Lounge, Eggli, Wispile, Saanersloch, and beginning from next summer also the restaurant of the Golf Club in Saanenmöser plus the three leased establishments Rinderbergspitz, Rinderberg Swiss Alpine Lodge and Horneggli.

BDG assures that operations on the Eggli are continuing as planned. The obligations they have entered into, in particular that with the restaurant of the Golf Club, will remain in place.
