Noel von Grünigen is Swiss Slalom Champion

Noel von Grünigen from Schönried won gold in slalom at the Brack.ch Swiss Championships on the Diavolezza.

Swiss-Ski writes in a press release that Noel von Grünigen showed a strong performance in the men's first title decision at the Brack.ch Swiss Championships, distancing his competitors by 91 hundredths of a second or more. The 25-year-old was in second place at half-time, and in the final round he set the fastest time in the run. In 2016 and 2017 he already became Swiss slalom champion in the U21 category.

Gstaad Palace mourns the death of Ernst Andrea Scherz

The Gstaad Palace mourns the death of Ernst Andrea Scherz (1939-2021). The doyen of the international luxury hotel industry, who among other things helped to establish the worldwide alliance "The Leading Hotels of the World", passed away after a long illness on 13 May 2021 at the age of 81. He managed the legendary Gstaad hotel from 1968 to 2001 – before handing it over to his son Andrea Scherz, who today is the third generation to carry on his father's legacy as general manager and owner.
