Ticket sale has started

The advance sale of ski passes is underway. Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad (BDG) is confident for the winter season. The protection concept has been tested. Mask scarves increase safety. If all goes well, the winter season will already be launched on 14 November.

New at the Eggli valley station
As before, season passes can be purchased at the various valley stations, at the GST and online. The Eggli valley station is now the main sales office since the BDG moved from the Haus des Gastes on the Gstaad Promenade to the administration building at the Eggli valley station in spring. Matthias In-Albon, managing director of the BDG, promises a positive shopping experience and explains this with the well-trained sales staff and the good parking facilities.

Booking with Covid security
According to the BDG, booking early is also worthwhile this year and promises Covid security. In the event of an officially ordered closure of all mountain rides in the Gstaad tariff association, a value credit will be issued. Online bookings of one-day or multi-day tickets are credited to the online account. "The credit can be redeemed until the end of the winter season 2021/2022", informs the managing director. For season tickets the amount is paid out in cash pro rata.

Mask obligation in the gondola
Masks are also compulsory on public transport in winter. The mountain rides have had positive experiences in summer with the implementation of the protection concepts analogous to public transport. They will be applied in winter as well.

In-Albon: "We would like to continue to see equality with passengers in public transport. There, masks are compulsory in vehicles such as trains and cable cars. There is no obligation to wear a mask for children before their 12th birthday. There is also no obligation to wear a mask on chair lifts and ski lifts". However, it is the guests' own responsibility to keep their distance in the waiting areas and/or to wear a face mask. There are no capacity restrictions on the transport facilities.

Tested mask scarves
The BDG is currently testing masks suitable for winter use. The mask resembles a neck-warming tubular cloth and at the same time fulfils all safety criteria of the Covid 19 Task Force. It is washable and therefore reusable. BDG will probably sell the masks at the valley stations.

The BDG is ready for the coming winter season. It offers a tried and tested safety concept and masks suitable for winter use. Reimbursement for subscriptions and day or multi-day tickets in the event of a possible lockdown is also regulated. Now all that remains is for the snow to fall in time.
