The vintage cycling festival Bergkönig is scheduled to take place as planned from 28 to 30 August. Following the cancellation or adaptiation of other events due to corona pandemic, Bergkönig will be the first major event to take place in the Saanenland this summer. The programme remains unchanged – the time trial will take place on Friday, the sprint and welcome cocktail on Saturday and the longer tours on Sunday. The range of routes on offer has been extended for this summer. However, the number of participants must be limited to 300 in accordance with the Federal Council’s regulations. Not only the Gstaad team will start again, but also many former professionals such as Urs Freuler, Sepp Fuchs and Thomas Wegmüller.
