Against tacit consent
09.12.2019 Local News"Very few of those directly affected know what to expect!" These words were spoken by a worried voter who does not want the Saanenland to “submit to the Bern authority” without a fight.
The official increase in value of non-agricultural real estate decided by the Grand Council in 2017 causes him great concern. At the municipal meeting in Lauenen of 29 November, he calculated that this increase in value would cost the owners in the Saanenland dearly. It would be very expensive. This leads to a two and a half fold increase in Lauenen, in Saanen, a triple increase and in Gsteig, double the previous value. In his opinion, it would be young families from the region who realised the dream of their own home, who would be affected the most.
In the end, the reduction of 0.6 ‰ requested by the local council was accepted.
Commitment appropriations approved
According to the requirements of the Intercantonal Concordat for Calbe Cars and Ski Lifts (IKSS), various works must be carried out at the Rohrbrücke-Brüchli AG ski lift in the next two to three years, totalling CHF 314,000. The voters approved commitment sppropriations for works on the Rohrbrücke-Brüchli ski lift (CHF 180,000), Gstaad Marketing GmbH and Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus for the next two years (CHF 190,000) and for the renovation of the municipal road, Ufem Stutz, including the construction of a junction with the state road (CHF 130,000).
