Ski Season Begins One Week Early

  22.11.2017 Sports & Leisure

BDG recorded over a thousand first steps on opening weekend. Matthias In-Albon, managing director of BDG, did not miss the opportunity to personally greet the first snow sports guest, Roman Gimmel, councilor of Thun and president of Thun-Thunersee Tourismus, at the entrance to the Horneggli chairlift and to give him a voucher for a lunch in the newly renovated Horneggli mountain restaurant.

On the occasion of the season opening, the operator team of the company Hüttenzauber and BDG surprised restaurant guests with free punch and mulled wine.

Also on the slopes at the Saanersloch, snowmaking is in progress. The Saanerslochbahn has not yet been operational due to ongoing construction work. The concrete foundation for the new gondola lift and construction work on the new mountain station are still in full swing and should be completed before the big snows of the year begin

To kick off the season, BDG offered day tickets for the weekend at a 20 per cent discount. Gstaad season tickets and Top4 season passes are already valid, and the presale period for both runs until 15 December.
