"We were able to look forward to an increase from all important markets,“ says CEO Bernhard Tschannen. “Asian customers have increased above average and the positive feedback we receive from both our Asian and European guests makes us proud.“

Overall, the company is satisfied with the financial year 2016/17, which started with an excellent winter season. Tschannen is convinced that the snow competence of Glacier 3000 with the glacier ski area and the altitude will continue to increase in importance.

"A few years ago it was a trend to go on artificial snow slopes. Today, however, guests are increasingly looking for natural snow, which we can offer thanks to our altitude.,” explains Tschannen.

As the company looks confidently toward the future, it considers the successes of the recent past. With the opening of the winter season on October 28, they opened a newly renovated self-service restaurant, and in December, they plan to open the newly built slope Red Run. Red Run will lead from 3000 to 1300 m above sea level over a total of eight km.

The winter season on Glacier 3000 includes a total of 191 days of skiing and lasts until 6 May. The seasonal subscription to Glacier 3000 this year costs CHF 400 for adults or CHF 200 for children. More information and the online shop are available at www.glacier3000.ch
