Originally, the work was planned for the beginning of the winter season 2016/2017. For years, excess water and flooding plagued the restroom, upping humidity levels. The delay was implemented to determine the cause of the problem so that it could be repaired. Injected sealants were used to seal the transition wall to the floor, but streams of water reappeared after the defrosting of the ice on the outdoor rink situated directly above the toilets.

In the worst-case scenario, the variety of events on the ice rink will be restricted by the possible construction times. Today, the toilets are closed and the municipality offers its apologies and asks guests for their understanding.
