Höigümper (grasshopper), Eichhörenchen (squirrel) and Specht (woodpecker) are the names of the three courses (see map below) that have been equipped during the last weeks and months. Each course has 20 bridges but the height and difficulty varies. "Höigümper is the easiest course, designed for children from 120 centimeters high or beginners. The platforms are at a maximum height of 10 meters,” explains Hans Allemann, manager of Swiss Adventures. Technically more demanding and higher is the Eichhörnchen option, which is closed to children measuring less than 140 centimeters. The platforms of this more demanding course are up to 20 meters high.

“There are many parks primarily in Western Switzerland,” explains Hans Allemann. Seven years ago, his company, Swiss Adventures, built the first Adventure Park in canton Bern in the Gantrisch area. “We sold it now,” says Allemann. The highrope garden in Saanenmöser that belongs to his company, ran for 10 years, but was closed down. “On the one hand we presumed that the new hospital would be built on this location, on the other hand, we would have had to make extensive renovations to the highrope garden. This is why we looked for a new location”. Some elements of the Saanenmöser highrope garden, such as the “Stake” or the “Pampersfall”, have been built again in the adventure park in Zweisimmen. “We also offer team building for groups,” explains Allemann. The Adventure Park is located close to the Zweisimmen swimming pool directly on the road between Zweisimmen to Saanenmöser. “The location is ideal as our visitors can take advantage of the infrastructure of the swimming pool, for example the toilets. The restaurant is also very close.” says Alleman. In the past years, the preliminary work (the woodwork and assembly of the platforms) was started and in the last weeks the 60 bridges were constructed. In total 4,000 meters of wire cable was used. The final acceptance of the work by Swiss TC Technical Services AG, followed. This extensive construction offers place for up to 100 people. Between 2 and 4 hours are needed per visit. The park is monitored by staff who are trained in case of emergencies. In addition equipment and instruction at the starting point are also included in the price. Children up to 12 years-old are permitted with an adult. The minimal height for children is 120 – 140 centimeters. In mid season the park is open on Friday and Saturday afternoons, as well as on holidays. In July and August, it is open on Wednesday afternoons, as well as all day on weekends The entry price is SFr 33 for adults and SFr 26 for children. Reduced prices for groups and schools are offered. www.seilpark-zweisimmen.ch
