JFK Students Take Yearly Excursion

  15.06.2017 Gstaad Living

In Leysin, youngsters had a castle adventure, hiking, and rock climbing with ropes while based at their village camp. During this time, the Kindergarden students had their own daily activities modified to suit their age. The students also visited the Gianadda museum in Martigny to marvel at the various sculptures in the garden as well as the old-timer exhibition. What the children seemed to love the most was a trip to the St. Bernard Museum (Barryland) with its 20 cute puppies. They would have loved to adopt them and take them back to Saanen!

For older students headed to Portugal, their trip included a stay at Campo Aventura in Obidos. The complex included several swimming pools as well as a camp, restaurants, rope park, and football fields. The coast of Portugal is popular for surfing, and so the kids had surf lessons in the nearby lagoon each morning. The afternoons were reserved for culture, and students learned about manufacturing clay tiles in addition to visiting the largest garden in Europe (35 hectares) which connects art with nature. In the evening there were concerts, dancing, and bowling on the program
