The Tour de Romandie rolled through the region last weekend, bringing another cycling extravaganza to the Saanenland. The fourth stage of the Tour de Romandie spanned over 160 kilometres from Domdidier to Leysin. The cyclists passed through the Saanenland shortly after 4pm, with clear weather prevailing.
Numerous spectators lined the road between Saanenmöser and the Col du Pillon. On the highest point in Saanenmöser, there were mountain prizes and a sprint in Gsteig.
A five-person group reached Gstaad at 4:21pm, and three minutes later continued their journey on their way out of the village. The last group passed by at 4:31pm and the broomstick announced the end of the Gstaad leg of the race.
