Open Spaces Welcomed First Artists

Fri, 21. Apr. 2017

The school building in Feutersoey has been turned into an art centre (see GstaadLife 2/2017). The transformation was finished in record time to house the first guests, who will be living and working at Open Spaces for up to three months. Greg Holt, the initiator of the project, is glad the art centre is off to a good start.

The artists Kyra and Roderick MacLeod are responsiple for the organisation of the artists' space. They help artists, organise events and take care of visitors, the public being a crucial part of the project. Holt and the MacLeods hope to have created a space that will foster the exchange between artists and the public. They stress that the doors are open for visitors and plan to organise events for the public.

The first artist in residence, Matheline Marmy from Geneva, arrived in early April. She will stay for two months and show her work in an exhibit before she will leave. The list of applications is long, say Kyra and Roderick MacLeod.
