FIS and Europa Cup points for local skiers

  05.12.2019 Local News

Julie Trummer from Feutersoey and Bigna Däpp from Gstaad completed two slalom races in Adelboden at the end of last week. In the first race, they finished in 14th place (Trummer) and 18th place (Däpp). Both improved in the race the following day. Trummer narrowly missed the top ten and finished in 11th place. Däpp was able to make up five places in comparison to the day before and improved with 13th place her FIS-points count.

Luc Herrmann and Lian von Grünigen, both from Schönried, contested two slalom races in the Italian Passo Monte Croce, which are classified as National Junior Races and also count in the FIS classification. Luc Herrmann prevailed impressively against the competition from Europe. On Saturday he’d already made it onto the podium with third place. On Sunday he left all skiers behind and won. Lian von Grünigen was eliminated on Saturday in the second run. On Sunday, he came in fourth in the second run with the fastest time.

Noel von Grünigen joined the Europa Cup tour in the far north. In the Swedish Funesdalen he secured his first Europa Cup point this season in the slalom race with 30th place. In the slalom on the following day, he unfortunately dropped out in the second run.
