The winter season 2011 is over, skiing is just not much fun any more on the slushy slopes but your beloved little ones still need to get their energy out of their bodies somehow. Here is the solution for this weekend. The school sport center between Saanen and Gstaad is open this Sunday from 10h00 to 13h00 for kids up to 10 years old. They bring out every bit of sports equipment you can think of and the children can use everything for free. Parents are responsible for their little ones so you cannot just dump them there - but lots of fun is guaranteed and they will sleep soundly that night. 
 
 

Do you like horses or do you have children who are just crazy about them? Well, then we have the right event for you: The breeding association Saanen-Obersimmental (PZG) celebrates its 100th anniversary and is organizing a horse show where the fowles and young horses are evaluated by experts on Friday October 1 from 9:30 on and on Sunday October 3 there is a party with games, a show, a quadrille and a tournament for everybody starting at 10:00. The whole thing takes place at the Saanersloch parking lot.

Last Saturday July 24 2010 the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad got underway. Local interest is high with Swiss Alexander Sadecky (above) joining fellow countryman Michael Lammer in the last sixteen after qualifying as wildcards.

In the women's final Brazilians Larissa and Juliana, perrenial Gstaad favorites, triumphed. Here are some more snapshots from the tournament which is set to continue until at least 2012. This one's been getting quite a few hits over at AnzeigervonSaanen.ch, so we thought you'd might like to see some footage of the Ivory Coast national team in action. The video above was filmed this past Monday, and features off-the-field moments of ball-play, personal close-ups with Sven, as well as highlights of the team's 6-0 victory over Xamax U21s.
