As an eastern entrance portal to the Rinderberg, the Hamilton Lodge has been found to be a central element—but that success depends strongly on the operating times of the gondola lift. As a result, BDG has decided to buy the property in order to better control the development on the mountain.

BDG has hired the company Hüttenzauber, which already operates the Rinderbergspitz restaurant, to run Hamilton Lodge. They are hopeful that this can lead to further synergies.
