At the last municipal assembly, residents voted to remove funding for the Medical Center, cancelling the monies that Saanen had agreed to fund to keep the facility open at the weekends. Only 76 of 321 voters present at the assembly voted in favour of keeping the CHF 200,000 deficit guarantee. As a result, the Center is no longer open on Saturday and Sunday.
