The weir will be able to hold back 10,000 cubic meters of sediment. The building permit was expected in autumn 2011. After further efforts to model sediment levels, the weir is to be built during the autumn and winter months from 2011 to 2013. The hydraulic engineering measures and the bridge and road constructions will be carried out between 2013 and 2014.
