Sporthotel Rütti Gstaad to be knocked down
The picture above shows the poles behind the Sporthotel Rütti - which soon will be no more. So if you still want to enjoy a good pizza for a reasonable prize you make your moves, because the hotel and restaurant will close on March 15. Apparently a new hotel is planned with 30 beds, restaurant, wellness, apartments, and an underground parking lot. Behind everything is the Chesery AG Gstaad but Mario Moratti was not quite ready to discuss the details when interviewed by our sister publication the Anzeiger von Saanen.

Well, then, in lieu of all those who apparently lost their voices: what is going to happen to this revered institution, the Le Crystal - oder Kristall - for the discerning Gentlemen? From all I can gather it fulfills an eminently important social function and helps to calm the Bulls and Bears in the Saanenland, no? So, GstaadLife, try again and ask Mr. Moratti, Mr Kuenzi, or tell us what you hear, from the grapevine? I mean, how can you simply ignore it when reporting about the future of the Ruetti Sporthotel? I mean, come on...!

I hope that those in control of what goes on in Gstaad realize that bit by bit they are in danger of allowing everything that makes Gstaad special become history. It is a real shame to see so many longtime 'institutions' disappear.
