No demolition of chalets on Gstaad Promenade
According to the latest plans, Chalets Jutzeler und Hermenjat will be renovated rather than torn down, with the Lorenz Bach chalet remaining unchanged.
Topic number one of recent weeks has been the planned demolition of a few houses on the Promenade in Gstaad. The responsible people for the planned demolition of the three chalets Jutzeler, Hermenjat and Lorenz Bach (see picture above) have reacted to the vehement protests of locals and chalet guests and withdrawn their plans. Chalets Jutzeler and Hermenjat shall now be renovated and adapted slightly, while the Lorenz Bach house will stay the same. The only one that will have to go is the post office (which in our opinion is actually not a bad choice). In its place, two new buildings shall be constructed.
Post office Gstaad to be demolished.
And in other Promenade construction news, Chalet Boss-Haus at the other end by the river (see picture below) shall also remain and will only be renovated.
The 'Boss-Haus' next to Louisbac will be renovated.

The best news for the Valley's future.
