Charges brought against Reust in Gstaad cheese investigation
The preliminary investigation into the conduct of the former operations director of Molkerei Gstaad, Hanspeter Reust, is now complete. And he seems to be in a spot of trouble. He has been accused of intentionally mislabeling an eight-tonne delivery of mountain cheese to Migros as more expensive alpine cheese. And in the course of their investigations, the authorities also uncovered a number of other financial irregularities, and as a result Reust has been further charged with multiple counts of fraud and mismanagement. The proceedings have been transfered to the jurisdiction of Obersimmental-Saanenland. Reust denies all charges.
