Alpina construction to begin this spring

Construction on the Grand Hotel Alpina on the Oberbort will begin this spring. The announcement comes in the wake of the yesterday's federal court decision to throw out all remaining appeals against the proposed hotel project, which has been the subject of 13 years of legal wrangling between a development consorium led by Marcel Bach and local chalet owners. The SFr 150 million project will feature a luxury hotel with 124 beds and 13 apartments, as well as three chalets on the grounds featuring 10 more luxury apartments.
